Château Tertre Belair 2022 – Castillon – Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose offers a nice concentration and a dense and quite fresh fruity substance. It expresses juicy aromas of wild strawberry and raspberry, complemented by tangy notes of fresh blackcurrant and crunchy morello cherry. There are also herbaceous touches of dried mint and fresh thyme, as well as delicate toasted and spicy notes (licorice, black pepper, cloves). On the palate, there is juiciness and freshness: the wine expresses the flavors of red cherry, morello cherry, red plum, wild strawberry and tangy raspberry, complemented by very subtle floral touches (cornflower, peony ) and a very slight spicy side (licorice, white pepper), which is more present on the nose than on the palate. The wine has a firm tannin structure and slightly rough tannins, but wrapped up thanks to the fruity substance and good acidity. The finish is fruity, moderately persistent. An accessible wine, balanced overall.
