Château La Croix de Pez 2022 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose expresses notes of toast and torrefaction with a fine varietal hint. It expresses notes of blackberry, small crushed red fruits and more slightly – fresh toasted notes combined with a touch of fresh coffee. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, roundness, smoothness, a fine richness, a little gourmandise. It expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, fresh/pulpy raspberry and more slightly – their fresh ones (lily, iris), associated with touches of toast, chocolate and a fine hint of fresh blond tobacco. The tannins are precise, frank and very finely dry. A hint of good bitterness on the finish/persistence.
