The nose is fruity in depth, and offers power and finesse in its depth. It expresses notes of boysenberry, pulpy blackcurrant and, more slightly, pulpy wild strawberry, associated with touches of violet, star anise as well as hints of fresh pepper and a discreet hint of bergamot and sap. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, lovely definition and aromatic purity and roundness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulp raspberry and more slightly – fresh violet, associated with touches of star anise as well as fine sappy hints and discreet hints of nutmeg and cardamom. Good length. The tannins have a slight softness and nice sapidity on the finish/persistence. Nice freshness and minerality, nice persistence.
