The nose is elegant, racy, and offers delicacy in its power, lovely control/accuracy in its richness, a fine airy creaminess and concentration. It expresses notes of creamy blackberry, creamy strawberry and slight notes of star anise associated with small touches of lily, cornflower and vanilla as well as hints of toast and has a discreet hint of fresh pepper. The palate is fresh, fruity and offers creaminess, a nice finesse in its richness, a nice textured-fine side, an airy side in its richness and a nice little covering side. The wine expresses notes of crème de cassis, pulpy/bright blackberry and more slightly – raspberry associated with touches of cornflower, small blue fruits, graphite, cardamom as well as fine hints of chocolate. The tannins are supple and precise. A little softness, deliciousness and a lovely racy/terroir-marked minerality.
