Château Bellefont-Belcier 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

Nice fresh nose which offers power, depth as well as a nice intensity with finesse and precision. We find notes of creamy blackberry, fresh Sichuan pepper and slight notes of racy minerality associated with touches of bright/fresh fruit, a sense of place (Mediterranean barrier), a hint of bright plum as well as a discreet hint of lilac, bergamot and spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, delicious, balanced, elegant, distinguished and offers minerality, deliciousness, precision, a fine airy side, a fine sappy hint in the frame (which brings peps / energy) as well as a lovely purity of the material. A melodious side and fullness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and slight notes of limestone (terroir) associated with touches of plum, licorice stick as well as hints of tonka bean, almond as well as ‘with a subtle touch of sense of place and a very discreet fresh/iodized touch. Elegant, precise, distinguished, powerful and sapid tannins. Very nice persistence.
