Vieux Château Palon 2022 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is toasted, and expresses notes of toasted almond, nutmeg and more slightly – blackberry associated with touches of small fleshy fruits, strawberry, toasted bread and fine hints of clove and spices and almost minty in the background. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers a good, discreetly tight structure, tension, energy, a little fat/roundness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly – small fleshy red berries, associated with touches of chocolate, toast, torrefaction, racy minerality as well as a fine hint of bergamot and sappy in the background.
