L’Eclat du Château de l’Eperon – Excellence 2022 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is mineral and offers fruit, a certain intensity/concentration, as well as a finely tight grain. It expresses notes of fresh wild blackberry, fresh pepper, and more slightly – fresh spices associated with touches of wild berries, strawberry and a hint of smoke and camphor. The palate is mineral, it offers a fine creaminess and freshness, minerality, a certain gourmandise, a slight straightness. We find notes of crushed blackberry, more slightly crushed blackcurrant – pulpy raspberry, associated with touches of chocolate/mocha, cardamom as well as hints of vanilla and racy minerality and a subtle almost varietal hint in the background. We also find notes of cocoa and toast on the persistence/finish.
