Château Cantin 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Château Cantin 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru

A fragrant and delicate nose, which first expresses floral notes of fresh rose, violet and cherry blossom, combined with a fresh and delicious fruity bouquet. We find notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, elderberry, red cherry and morello cherry, completed by a subtle spicy (vanilla, nutmeg) and roasted notes (roasted hazelnut in the background), as well as a hint of peppermint and bitter cocoa. On the palate, the wine expresses a round, delicious and ample attack and a firm mid-palate, carried by a fairly powerful and dry tannin structure, but with a fine texture. The flavors are ripe, with a hint of sweetness. We find notes of morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, blackcurrant, crème de cassis, red currant jam and crushed strawberry, accompanied by touches of vanilla, cinnamon, mint chocolate and rose. The density and richness on the palate are balanced by a good level of acidity. Great persistence and concentration. A wine with substance and structure to be an age-worthy wine.
