Château Monregard La Croix 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, tense and offers some spiciness and stretchiness. It expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, fairly ripe raspberry and more slightly – star anise associated with touches of cardamom, sap, fresh pepper and a hint of crushed small fruits and a discreet hint of vanilla pod. The palate is fruity and offers a tangy structure, energy, a little tension and accuracy. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, small fresh/juicy red fruits and more slightly – fresh flowers associated with a touch of crunchy small fruits as well as hints of racy minerality, tonka bean and toasted notes.
