Château de Birazel Auguste 2022 – Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers a fine richness/fleshyness of the fruit. It expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, fleshy/juicy blackcurrant and more lightly – small crushed red fruits, combined with a hint of liquorice stick. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, an acid frame, minerality, smoothness, roundness, a fine compactness, density and good balance. It expresses notes of fleshy/tangy strawberry, luscious/juicy raspberry and more lightly – creamy blackcurrant, associated with touches of small red berries, violet and licorice stick. Fine and relatively powerful tannins, nicely sapid. Lovely freshness and suppleness.
