The nose is velvety and offers a certain small concentration as well as a fine peppery side. There are notes of violet, wild blackberry and slight notes of pepper associated with fine varietal/iris touches as well as a discreet hint of clove. The palate is nicely fresh, balanced and offers smoothness, deliciousness, a little tension, precision, accuracy as well as a fine and very finely tight grain. A smooth, greedy and finely tight material. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy/juicy blackcurrant and more lightly iris, violet associated with touches of fresh raspberry, pretty hints of cocoa/chocolate as well as fine pints of nutmeg and a very discreet hint of coffee in the background. Nice chew and a good job on the good bitters.
