The nose is mineral, graphite and offers freshness, elegance as well as power in finesse and subtlety. Beautifully marked by its terroir. We find notes of pulpy blackberry, violet and small notes of crushed red fruits associated with touches of sweet bond tobacco, smoke as well as fine hints of incense, fresh vanilla pod and discreet notes sweet spices. The palate is nicely structured and offers a certain darkness, density, suppleness, lovely depth, aromatic complexity as well as a framework of freshness and minerality. There is creaminess, a nice silkiness in the mouthfeel and almost a sanguine side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of small pulpy/fleshy black fruits, violet, roasted cherry and small notes of fairly ripe small fruits associated with touches of chocolate, vanilla pod, camphor as well as a fine hint almost black olive. The tannins are elegant, supple and polished. This wine has a very nice built-in fade. There is a subtle hint of dark chocolate on the finish/persistence.
