The nose is fruity, aromatic with a nice roasted side and freshness thanks to a fine menthol side. We have notes of roasted cherries, crushed blackberries and more slightly – small, fairly ripe black fruits associated with touches of violet and star anise. There is a sappy hint and we perceive a subtle hint of lily as well as a discreet note of almost Ceylon infusion and chocolate. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, elegant, gourmand with creaminess in the freshness. There is a lovely velvety feel to the grain. We have notes of roasted cherries, creamy blackcurrant and more slightly – crushed blackberries associated with touches of violet, star anise or even sap as well as hints of racy minerality, almost saline or even iodized, as well as a hint of small ripe and fresh red fruits as well as chocolate and toasted notes. The tannins are elegant, distinguished, frank and precise. There is a nice aromatic persistence, good definition, straightness and a nice freshness. It is a stretched wine, sapid, almost minty in the background.
