The nose is fruity, ripe with a certain intensity, power and finesse. There is an incisive and fine side to its grain with racy freshness. We have a delicate floral side and a fine-infused side. We have notes of creamy blackcurrant, fresh blackberries and more slightly of wild strawberries, flowers associated with a sense of place or even noble varietal as well as hints of nutmeg and sweet spices. The palate is fruity with juiciness and mineral freshness which carries over. There is good definition, a nice acidity from the limestone, energy with notes of creamy blackcurrant, creamy pulpy blackberries and slight notes of blond tobacco. We also perceive licorice associated with touches of fairly ripe and tangy wild red fruits as well as hints of toast and sweet spices. There is a subtle, almost floral note. The tannins are distinguished and finely soft.
