Château Certan de May 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is pretty, floral and spicy with power. We discover notes of boysenberry, violet and lily combined with touches of small wild black berries, small pulpy blue fruits as well as hints of crushed strawberries and a touch of aromatic herb. The palate is fruity with freshness and a slight creaminess. It presents tension, roundness, smoothness and a certain accuracy. We have notes of bright blackberries, small, fairly ripe wild red berries and more slightly roasted raspberries combined with touches of spices, pepper and a subtle hint of star anise. This wine has good length and nice definition, precision, suppleness and harmony. A fine infusion side is in the background and the floral side adds freshness. It is a wine with a certain breadth.
