Château Lafleur-Gazin 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is racy and offers a certain intensity as well as a pretty little floral side. It reveals notes of boysenberry, pulpy blackcurrant and small notes of pulpy raspberry associated with touches of cornflower, graphite as well as a hint of fresh spices, fresh pepper and a very discreet hint of saffron. The palate is fresh, mineral, distinguished and offers a lovely freshness which carries a certain slight tension, roundness as well as a fine fatness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, small red berries and small notes of pulpy blackcurrant associated with touches of tonka bean, violet, lily as well as fine hints of torrefaction. Nice work on the good bitters. Good length. A subtle chew on the finish/persistence. Beautiful freshness!
