Cantina Volpi 2021 – Colli Tortonesi DOC Timorasso

The nose is aromatic and finely sweet. It expresses subtle notes of vanilla, caramel, as well as notes of aging in lees and malolactic fermentation (brioche, butter, apricot yogurt), floral hints (orange blossom), a touch of pineapple and green pear. On the palate, the wine expresses more citrucy notes, than on the nose: there are also flavours of lemon juice, grapefruit and orange peel. The wine has a medium body, a slightly oily attack, but a lean finish with a good bitterness and notes of tea leaf, acacia and dried herbs. Long finish with a high acidity and a lot of freshness.
