The nose is fresh, spicy and offers a nice little herbaceous side. It reveals notes of crunchy cherry, fresh blackberry and small notes of spices associated with herbaceous touches, almost a discreet smoky hint, Sichuan pepper as well as a very discreet hint of black olive and black tea. The palate is fresh, well-balanced and offers a minerality (clay minerality), a small fat, an acidulous frame, aromatic purity, deepness as well as a roasted and creamy side at the same time (but without any heavines)s. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/creamy blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and small notes of violet/small fresh local flowers associated with touches of roasted red berries, fresh olive leaf, hints of Ceylon tea as well only to a subtle hint of cardamom and clove. Tannins are racy and structuring. Presence of toasted hints and a fine patina in the the background.
