Antonelli – Passito 2017 – Montefalco Sagrantino

The nose is fruity and offers a lsmall concentration as well as a certain deepness. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of blackcurrant jam, crushed plum and small notes of jammy strawberry associated with a touch of crushed redcurrants, a hint of currants as well as a very discreet hint of nutmeg, sweet spices and with an imperceptible hint of dried apricot in the background. The mouth is nicely gourmande, elegant, supple and offers precision, an acidulous frame, tension, a beautiful energy as well as balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, blackberry jam and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with touches of blueberry, jammy strawberry as well as a discreet hint of sweet spices, a subtle hint of coffee and with a very discreet hint of dried apricot in the background. Pretty and greedy end of mouth.
