The nose offers a nice fruit, a certain delicacy, harmony as well as a nice maturity of the fruit. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy blue plum and small notes of ripe/tangy strawberry associated with touches of violet, rosemary flowers, fresh pepper and slight hints of lilac. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, minerality, a nice freshness, elegance, a nice definition, a slight salinity/iodine as well as a nice finely velvety and relatively powerful tannic structure. An “easy drinking” wine (without the pejorative side that this term can mean). On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy purple plum, fresh/pulpy blackberry and small notes of cornflowers associated with touches of dense small blue fruits, cocoa, a hint of toast (in the background) as well as a subtle hint of rosemary and fresh almond. Tannins are supple. Good length. Beautiful work on the good bitterness on the finish/persistence.
