The nose is spicy, frank and finely tight. It expresses notes of boysenberry, racy minerality and, more slightly, incense associated with a touch of pepper as well as hints of fresh grove and a subtle hint of sage/lilac. The palate is fruity, supple, elegant, gourmand, nicely defined and offers a juicy/tangy frame, tension, precision, purity, a nice balance. The palate expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, blueberry associated with fine touches of crushed currants, balsamic as well as chocolate/vanilla and delicate varietal hints (sense of place) which underline the fruit. The tannins are elegant. A harmonious wine, with a nice integration and delicacy in its substance.
