Cantina di Solopaca – Origini 2018 – Solopaca Classico Rosso – Sannio DOP

The nose is fruity, frank and offers spiciness and good definition. It expresses notes of violet, pulpy blackcurrant and, ,ore slightly, racy minerality, combined with touches of pulpy red berries, as well as hints of fresh pepper and a discreet hint of liquorice stick. The palate is fruity, finely tight, and offers juiciness, a mineral structure, good definition, a certain silkiness, and a certain energy. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy red cherry, violet and, more slightly, fleshy/juicy blackcurrant associated with touches of star anise, lilac as well as hints of spices, cloves and a subtle hint of pepper. The tannins are soft and relatively polished. Harmony, a fine chew on the finish/persistence.
