The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration, a fine richness and a fine stretchness. It expresses notes of roasted blackcurrant, morello cherry and small notes of jammy strawberry, combined with a touch of liquorice, spices and discreet/delicate floral hints. The palate is fruity, distinctly tight and offers minerality, a tangy frame, tension, a certain precision, substance and a certain richness, a good job on the good bitters. It expresses sunny, ripe fruits: notes of fairly ripe blackcurrant, roasted cherry and small notes of roasted/crushed berries associated with touches of liquorice stick, racy minerality and fine hints of cornflower, vanilla and a hint of blond tobacco in the background. Good length and definition, fine hints of dark chocolate in the base. A fairly ripe wine, but which retains freshness, minerality and balance.
