Cantinoteca dei Prolo – Lochera 2018 – Fara DOC

The nose is a bit tight. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of wild red berries, violet and small notes of sweet blond tobacco associated with small touches of red plum as well as a hint of quite ripe blackcurrant. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, a mineral structure, tension, a certain roundness as well as a certain suppleness of the structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, quite ripe (but also slightly acid) small red fruits and small notes of pulpy blackcurrant associated with touches of strawberry as well as a hint of fresh tobacco and a subtle hint of sense of place (local biotop) in the background.
