Gebrüder Nittnaus, Exquisit Eiswein – Niederösterreich – 2021

The wine has a golden color of medium intensity. The nose is pure, fresh, fruity and delicately peppery. It expresses notes of lemon zest, fresh lime peel, orange zest, tart yellow plum jam, lemon jam, white peach in syrup, very ripe fresh pineapple, as well as crushed golden apple, combined with a sweet minty touch and a spicy hint of white pepper. On the palate, the wine offers precision, concentration, an oily and dense texture, as well as freshness, accompanied by a subtle peppery note. It expresses flavours of very ripe fresh pineapple, very ripe juicy yellow peach, mirabelle plum jam, orange and lemon zest, candied lemon peel, as well as melon, a touch of vanilla and white pepper in the background. The finish is very long and also expresses notes of roasted golden apple, pear poached with spices and quince jam. A generous wine, but elegant and pure.
