Domaine Verret, Chablis Premier Cru Beauroy 2021

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is a little reserved but offers fruit and complexity. It expresses notes of ripe yellow lemon, candied lemon zest, red orange, grapefruit, and crunchy apricot, as well as a touch of melon and subtle hints of fresh vanilla, fresh almond and toast, associated with floral notes of apple blossom and orange blossom, as well as a fine minerality. On the palate, the wine offers breadth, precision and freshness. It expresses notes of fresh citrus fruits (yellow lemon, lemon zest), candied lemon zest, a delicate sweetness of yellow melon and crisp white peach as well as floral notes (acacia, apple blossom). The finish is long, fresh, tangy, delicately yeasty (fresh yeast, a touch of breadcrumbs) and mineral with salinity on the finish. A structured wine, which offers concentration, freshness and complexity.
