Domaine Verret, Chablis 2021

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color. The nose is fruity, ripe and offers a delicate sweetness as well as a certain complexity. It expresses notes of lemon, candied lemon zest, a lactic hint, lemon cream, grapefruit, ripe apricot, juicy yellow peach, sweet fresh pineapple, as well as elegant floral touches (flower apple, lime) and mineral (a very subtle chalky note in the background). On the palate, the wine offers complexity and freshness. It expresses notes of ripe citrus fruits (yellow lemon, lemon zest, lime with a delicate bitterness), crunchy stone fruits (tangy apricot, white peach), as well as slightly herbaceous notes, a bit of minerality (a hint of chalk) and floral notes (acacia). The finish is quite persistent, with a good bitterness of grapefruit and a lively salivating acidity. A wine with freshness and lightness.
