The wine has a beautiful clear and deep cognac color. The nose is very woody, fruity and evolved. We feel a nice freshness. There are notes of pepper and wood, olive branch and peony. We perceive hints of candied banana and baked apple. The palate is fresh with an intense acidic frame. We find the persistent woody notes with spices. There are notes of red apple, saffron and strawberry compote. The woody aspect is very present throughout the tasting. Vanilla also makes an appearance on the mid-palate with hints of quince and blackberry compote. The finish is in the same vein: vanilla, sandalwood, black smoke and cinnamon.
