The nose is elegant and offers power with finesse and a nice fine, powerful grain. There are notes of dark berries, salinity, sense of place (local terroir/biotop) and small notes of cornflowers combined with touches of fairly ripe red berries as well as hints of star anise, white truffle, a subtle hint of game as well as a very discreet hint of spice and a subtle almost tobacco box-like hint. The palate is mineral, fruity, balanced and offers accuracy, an acidic frame, tension, a nice freshness, a certain opulence, depth, a nice dense/ripe side as well as a nice substance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild/concentrated dark berries, blackberry and small notes of game combined with hints of black olive, roasted dark berries, warm local grove (on the side of sage/local wild aromatic herbs) and a subtle hint of olive tree (in the background). Nice aromatic persistence.
