Château Bellegrave 2020 – Pomerol

The nose has power, concentration, elegance and a nice floral aromas. There are notes of bright blackcurrant, violet and small notes of blueberry, Morello cherries associated with touches of toast, incense, black pepper as well as slight hints of vanilla and a fine powdery hint. The palate is fruity with juiciness and freshness. There is elegance, fattiness, roundness and an airiness to its power. It is a wine with energy and dynamism. There are notes of pulpy and juicy blackberries, crushed cherries and lighter roasted berries associated with touches of cornflower, cardamom, star anise as well as hints of vanilla and toast. The tannins are supple, elegant and racy. It is a wine with gormandise and a discreet hint of good bitterness and toast in the background.
