There are notes of blackberry, fresh pepper and small notes of torrefaction combined with hints of ripe dark berries as well as a subtle hint of violet and a toasty note. We perceive a very discreet saline point in the background. The palate is fruity with minerality, juiciness and roundness. The tangy mineral frame brings airiness and gourmandise. There is a certain density with notes of pulpy blackberries, violets and small notes of fleshy purple plums combined with hints of cocoa and roasting as well as a fine hint of pepper and vanilla. There is a good length with the pretty round side of the Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc which brings flattering and gourmand notes. The end of the mouth is mellow with sapidity and gourmandise on the persistence.
