(Organic, without added sulphites) The wine shows a deep purple colour. The nose is reductive and restrained, needs aeration. It opens up with notes of black berries like blackberries and bramble, a touch of liquorice and black pepper. The palate is straightforward and fruity, revealing notes of bruised cherries, ripe blackberries and blueberries, a touch of almonds and apple skins, with bold, drying tannins and refreshing acidity. A good example of a wine without added sulphites which keeps its varietal characteristic and fruity character. Juicy, lingering finish.
