The wine shows a medium ruby colour, intense and shiny. The nose reveals powerful notes of oak, sweet spices like vanilla, cinnamon and cloves, complicated by profound nuances of forest raspberries, blackberries and black plums. The palate is juicy and dense, revealing high concentration of flavours and bold and grippy tannins that stick to the gums. There are notes of raspberry jam and kirsch, followed by nuances of dried herbs and somewhat disturbing bitterness. Very young to drink now, needs time to integrate oak and smoothen the tannins.
