Aglianico 100% from the historic “Dal Re” vineyard, old ungrafted vines. The nose is dark and slightly closed, needs aeration to open up. It reveals notes of tar, iodine, nuances of blackberries, thorn and bramble, a hint of cinnamon and cedar wood. The palate is bold and concentrated, packed with dark berries, complicated by nuances of prunes and smoke. Very full-bodied and hearty, the wine has a long, smoky finish and excellent ageing potential.
