The wine shows a pale ruby colour with a garnet hue. The nose is muted and slightly oxidative with a particular note of almond, a touch of cinnamon, cloves, notes of wood and tobacco. The palate is juicy with nice acidity balancing the alcohol and chalky, slightly bitter tannins. The wine reveals classic notes of dried cherries and macchia. The finish is warming and drying.
