The wine shows a medium-deep, vivid ruby colour. The nose is slightly muted and needs aeration. It opens up with notes of crunchy red cherries, kirsch, praline, toffee with a delicate balsamic note. The palate is pungent, refreshing and elegant showing a lot of finesse and noble character. The tannins are slightly drying. The wine reveals notes of fresh and dried red cherries, cranberries, cowberries, combined with notes of sage, eucalyptus and rosemary. The finish is dry and slightly austere. The wine needs some more time to settle.
