The wine shows a deep ruby colour with a garnet tinge. The nose is dense, ripe and heady, revealing notes of ripe (even overripe black cherries), a hint of bramble and black raspberries, a delicate touch of tobacco leaf and cassis. The palate is juicy and warming but well-balanced, offering bright fruit concentration, refreshing acidity, powerful body and opulent and rich tannins. The wine offers gourmet notes of cherries in chocolate, kirsch, a touch of cocoa and sweet spices. An exuberant and powerful style with a long, fruity finish and a nice grip.
