(Organic) The wine shows a bright ruby purple colour. The nose is slightly muted, the wine will benefit from being decanted. It opens up with nuances of ripe black cherries, blackberry confiture, a touch of almond and sweet baking spices. The palate is juicy and intense, offering opulent fruit concentration, a certain darkness of fruit, balanced acidity and bold but well-managed, velvety tannins. Notes of ripe black cherries and bramble interlace with nuances of fresh tobacco, tar and a hint of thorn. Slightly astringent on the finish. Good length and pleasant fruitiness in the aftertaste.
