The nose is fruity and has a velvety quality. There are notes of boysenberry and slightly blueberry with hints of crushed wild strawberry, liquorice and fine hints of violet, Sichuan pepper and a subtle hint of incense. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a fresh structure, good definition, juiciness and fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy boysenberry, ripe/crisp blueberry and slightly crushed strawberry combined with hints of liquorice, Bourbon vanilla as well as hints of toasted hazelnut and a discreet hint of almond. Good length. Fine chewiness on the finish. A very discreet hint of dark chocolate in the background.
