The nose offers some power/intensity, fine grain and depth. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, crushed wild strawberry combined with hints of tonka bean, toastiness and a discreet hint of roast. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, gourmandise, a certain purity of fruit as well as a pulpy/flavoured fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackcurrant, violet and more slightly of crunchy black berries combined with hints of cherry, a fine touch of plum, chocolate/tonka bean as well as hints of nutmeg and toasted hazelnut. The tannins are precise and finely firm. Good length.
