The nose offers good definition, concentration and power. There are notes of ripe/fleshy blackcurrant, crushed wild strawberry and, more slightly, cherry, combined with hints of fresh violet, nutmeg, meadow flowers and a discreet touch of torrefaction and pepper. The palate is mineral, fresh and offers juiciness, acidity, fatness, roundness, a good structure and a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy wild blackberry, juicy/pulpy raspberry and, more slightly, violet, combined with touches of racy minerality and hints of toast, cardamom, tonka bean and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The tannins are racy, well-mannered and elegant.
