The wine should be decanted. The nose offers fruit, fleshiness and a fine concentration. There are notes of fleshy/ripe blackcurrant, crushed redcurrant and more slightly morello cherry combined with fine touches of violet, lily as well as discreet hints of liquorice and sweet tobacco. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity, balanced and has a mineral structure as well as some fatiness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, crisp raspberry and slightly fresh cherry notes combined with hints of fresh iris/fresh flowers as well as fine nuances of racy minerality, sweet blond tobacco, a subtle hint of cardamom and a discreet hint of almond. The tannins are racy and well-managed.
