The nose offers elegance as well as a certain complexity/multilayered quality. The wine needs to be decanted. There are notes of boysenberry, toast, smoke and more slightly strawberry combined with hints of ripe red berry fruit as well as hints of nutmeg and a very discrete vanilla note. The palate is nicely juicy/acidic and offers freshness, a certain crunchiness, gourandise, a discreet iodine side as well as a nice suavity and sapidity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, crisp raspberry and more slightly of fresh flowers combined with hints of bright Quetsche plum as well as fine tips of lily, liquorice and fresh blond tobacco. Lovely freshness and crunchiness of fruit. A fruity wine.
