Bava – Piano Alto 2017 – Nizza DOCG

The nose is fruity, finely tight, and offers some tension as well as a fine peppery touch. It reveals notes of pulpy purple plum, bright blackcurrant, and small notes of graphite associated with fine hints of violet as well as a discreet hint of pepper. The mouth is fruity, finely tight, and offers juiciness, acidity, good definition, a certain melodious character, gourmandise as well as tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of morello cherry, pulpy blackcurrant and small notes of violet plum associated with touches of fresh raspberry, racy minerality, hints of graphite, blond tobacco, nutmeg, sense of the place (local biotop) as well as delicate hints of faded rose (in the background) and chocolate. The tannins are supple. Good length.
