The nose offers minerality and some fruits. It reveals notes of morello cherry, blackberry, and small notes of violet associated with fine touches of graphite, and star anise as well as a subtle hint of spices and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, and offers juiciness, a nice definition/brightness of the fruit, tension, a certain gourmandise as well as finesse in its structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh purple plum, fresh/juicy blackcurrant and small notes of violet associated with touches of fresh blackberry, graphite as well as slight hints of toast and nutmeg. The tannins are discreetly tight. Good length.
