Isolabella della Croce – Augusta 2017 – Nizza

The nose is spicy, finely dusty and offers a fine grain as well as a discreet touch of gray pepper. It reveals notes of camphor, gray pepper and small notes of blackcurrant associated with slight touches of clove, and raspberry as well as a discreet hint of tobacco and local grove. The palate is fruity and offers nice juiciness, brightness, freshness, and energy as well as certain straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, small blue fruits and small notes of violet associated with touches of camphor, tobacco as well as a discreet hint of local grove/laurel berries, rose and a subtle hint of sweet spices/liquorice. Good length. The tannins offer fine tightness as well as suavity.
