The wine has a deep ruby color with slight garnet reflections. The nose is expressive and complex, with notes of juicy, fresh, and jammy red and black fruits (black cherry, blackberry jam, black plum jam, dried raspberry, crushed strawberry, and fresh fig). There are also fine spicy woody touches (smoked, slightly toasted) and sweet spices (liquorice, cloves, cinnamon, cumin) with a hint of dried rosemary. The palate is silky and ample, on very ripe black fruits, spicy and woody notes (cinnamon, clove), completed by a mineral and herbaceous hint (bouquet garni). The wine is precise and fleshy, with a high acidity, which balances the heat of the alcohol of this wine. The medium (+) tannins are silky and fine. The finish is long and develops firstly on the fruits, then – on spices and a slight minerality.
