A nice racy, complex nose that offers a certain power as well as a nice fine, powerful and racy grain. It reveals notes of violet plum, more slightly – notes of ripe berries associated with slight touches of cloves, and pepper as well as a discreet hint of crushed raspberry, toast, and spices. The palate is well-built, fruity and offers juiciness, a nice minerality/freshness, roundness in delicacy, energy, and a tangy frame as well as the purity of the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, purple plum, and slight notes of cherry associated with touches of tangy raspberry as well as hints of blueberry, cardamom, mocha, a subtle hint of clove and of fresh blond tobacco. The tannins are racy, and precise and offer slight straightness. Good length. The wine beneficiates from being decanted.
