The nose is racy, tightly wound and concentrated. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, crushed wild red berries and more slightly of iris, violet, spices combined with touches of tobacco, cloves and a fine touch of fresh vanilla. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, fat, energy, suppleness, an acidic backbone and a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cherry, pulpy/acidic blackberry and more slightly ripe wild red berries combined with hints of violet, nutmeg, chocolate and a touch of blond tobacco and clove. Good length. The tannins are racy.
