The nose is relatively aromatic and offers precision, fine intensity, fruit and sweetness. There are notes of fleshy/fresh strawberry, fresh/chunky blackcurrant and more slightly of violet combined with fine touches of sweet spice and toasted oak. The palate is fruity with minerality, good definition, some juiciness, acidity and a slight linear edge. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh blackcurrant and more slightly fresh raspberry combined with hints of chocolate and tobacco. The tannins are fine and tight. A hint of toast in the background.
